Where to Buy Instinct Lamb Dog Food? Best Deals Online!
Okay, so I've been meaning to switch up my dog's food for a while now. He's been getting a little, uh, chunky, and the vet suggested something with a bit more protein. After digging around online and asking some fellow dog owners, I kept hearing about Instinct, specifically their lamb recipe. So, I decided to give the "instinct lamb dog food" a try.
The Shopping Trip
First things first, I needed to actually get the food. I swung by my usual pet store - it's a local place, nothing fancy. They actually had a pretty good selection of Instinct, including the raw boost and the regular kibble.
I went with the regular kibble, since I wasn't totally sure about the whole raw thing yet. It felt like a big step, you know?
Reading the Fine Print (Ugh)
Back home, I actually bothered to read the bag. Always a good idea, right? I wanted to see what was actually in this stuff. It's got lamb as the first ingredient, which is awesome. Lots of protein, just like the vet wanted.
It also has some other good stuff I read, like "probiotics for digestive health." I have read that it's good for my dog!
I am also happy because it did not contain any fillers that I don't think it's a good thing for my dog.
The Taste Test (aka Dinner Time)
Okay, the moment of truth. I measured out the recommended amount - gotta be careful not to overfeed, especially since we're trying to slim him down. I poured it into his bowl, and he was immediately interested. Sniffing around, tail wagging... so far, so good.
He dove right in! Seriously, he scarfed it down like he hadn't eaten in days. I guess he likes lamb!
- Day 1: He loved it! Clean bowl.
- Day 3: Still loving it. Poops are looking... normal. (Hey, it's a dog owner thing, we notice these things).
- Day 7: Energy levels seem a little higher. He's more playful during our walks.
The Verdict (So Far)
It's only been a week, so I can't say for sure if it's making a huge difference in his weight yet. But, he definitely enjoys the food, and he seems to have more energy. I'm feeling pretty good about the switch. I'll probably keep him on this Instinct lamb food for a while and see how he does. I'll give an update a another few weeks!
