Where to buy a hide and treat dog toy online?
Alright, so check it, today I wanna talk about this hide and treat dog toy thing I made. It was a whole process, lemme tell ya.
First things first, the idea hit me out of nowhere. My dog, Buster, he's a smart dude, but gets bored easily. I was scrolling through some dog toy ideas online, and saw a few "hide-a-treat" things, but they were all kinda lame and overpriced. I thought, "I can totally DIY this."

The Construction Begins! I started by cutting the fleece into strips, about 2 inches wide and varying lengths. I wanted that shaggy, messy look, you know? Then, I took the water bottle, crushed it up a bit (for maximum crinkle), and wrapped it in some fleece strips, sewing it all together into a little ball. This became the core of the toy.
Then came the main body. I took longer strips of fleece and started tying them around the fleece-covered water bottle core. I made sure to leave gaps between the knots so I could stuff treats in later. This part took a while, my fingers were killing me by the end!
For added toughness, I braided the rope and wove it through the fleece strips, securing it with knots and stitches. This not only made the toy more durable but also gave Buster something different to chew on.
Sewing it all together was the real challenge. My sewing machine isn't exactly heavy-duty, so I had to go slow and reinforce the seams. I used a zig-zag stitch for extra strength, and even hand-stitched a few spots where the machine couldn't reach.
Finally, the treat-hiding part! I left plenty of gaps between the fleece strips so I could stuff small treats in there. I made sure they were challenging to get to, but not impossible. Gotta keep him motivated, right?
The moment of truth: Buster's reaction. I presented him with the finished toy, and he was immediately interested. He sniffed it, pawed at it, and then started tearing into the fleece. It took him a little while to figure out the treat-hiding strategy, but once he did, he was hooked! He spent a good hour digging and chewing, finally getting all the treats out.
The verdict? A total success! The toy has held up surprisingly well, even with Buster's aggressive chewing. Plus, it keeps him entertained for a good chunk of time. It was a little time-consuming to make, but totally worth it to see him so happy and engaged.
