Okay, so my dog, Buster, he's a golden retriever, a real sweetheart, but sometimes his stomach… well, let's just say it's not always happy. He gets the runs, and it's not pretty. I've tried a bunch of things, changing his food, giving him plain yogurt, you name it. Nothing really seemed to work consistently.

Then, I saw someone on a dog forum talking about Endosorb. I'd never heard of it, so I did a little digging.

My Research & What I did

First, I looked it up online. From what I gathered it's kind of like a sponge for bad stuff in their gut. Supposedly, it helps firm up their stool, which, with Buster, was the main problem.

Next I checked out some reviews. It's kinda like activated charcoal for dogs. There were many reviews, and I had a read and it seemed safe enough. It has some mixed opinions, but the negative ones mainly talked about palatability and it not working, rather than causing harm.

So, I decided to give it a try. I found some on Amazon – easy peasy. When it arrived, the tablets were bigger than I expected. I read that some dogs is not a big fan of it, luckily, Buster isn't too picky, so I just crushed one up and mixed it with his food. I started with a small dose, just to be safe.

The Result

  • Day 1: No miracles, but no worse either. Still soft, but maybe a little less… watery.
  • Day 2: Definitely an improvement! He went, and it was… well, let's just say it was more solid. I was pretty excited.
  • Day 3: We had a solid poop! I almost threw a party. Okay, not really, but I was super relieved.

It's been a week now, and Buster's been doing great. I'm not saying it's a miracle cure, and I'm sure it doesn't work for every dog, but for Buster, it's been a lifesaver (and a carpet-saver!). I'm keeping him on it for now, and I'm definitely going to keep it on hand for any future… uh… digestive emergencies.

Just my two cents, of course. Every dog is different, so what worked for Buster might not work for your pup. Always talk to your vet if you're worried, that's what I usually do first! But yeah, Endosorb – thumbs up from Buster and me!
