Okay, so today I'm gonna share something fun we did - naming our new puppy! And let me tell you, we wanted a name that kinda matched our car. Sounds silly, right? But it's a thing! We just got this slick, new ride, and well, the puppy came along around the same time. So, the idea just popped into our heads - car puppy names!
First, I jumped online and started searching. You know, just typing in "car-related dog names" and stuff like that. There's a ton of lists out there, but most of them were pretty basic, like "Diesel" or "Hunter." No offense to those names, but we wanted something a bit more... unique, you know?
Then, I started digging deeper. I checked out websites that talk about popular dog names. Rover's got this yearly list, apparently, and I scrolled through their 2022 roundup. It had some interesting names, but nothing that really screamed "this is it!" for us and our car.
We made a list of our own, jotting down names inspired by our car's make and model, its color, even the way it drives! We had names like "Jet," "Ranger," "Scarlet" (for the color), and "Cruiser." We even threw in some funny ones like "Torque" and "Muffler."

Next, we started testing them out. We'd call out the names, see how they sounded, and if the puppy responded. He seemed to like "Jet" the most, always perking up his ears when we said it.
But then, my partner remembered this classic car movie, and the main character's name was "Axel." We both loved it! It's got that cool, edgy vibe, and it's not something you hear every day for a dog. Plus, it kinda went with our car's whole vibe.
So, we tried it out, "Axel! Here boy!" And guess what? The little guy went nuts! Tail wagging, running around, the whole nine yards. That was it. We knew we had our winner.
So yeah, that's how we ended up naming our puppy "Axel." It was a fun little adventure, and we're super happy with the name. It's unique, it's got a story behind it, and it just fits our little furry friend and our new car perfectly!
