Okay, so I've been meaning to switch up my dog's food for a while now. He's been getting a bit, shall we say, fluffy around the edges, and I figured a change in diet might do him some good. After digging around online and talking to some fellow dog owners, I kept hearing about Ziwi Peak Venison. So, I decided to give it a shot. Here's how it went down.
The Hunt for Ziwi
First things first, I had to actually find this stuff. It's not like it's stocked at every corner pet store, you know? I checked out a couple of the bigger chains, but no luck. Then, I remembered this little independent pet supply shop a few towns over. They tend to carry more of the, um, "premium" brands. Bingo! They had a whole shelf of Ziwi Peak, including the venison flavor.
Sticker Shock (Almost)
Okay, I'm not gonna lie, when I saw the price, I almost choked. This stuff is expensive. I mean, I love my dog, but wow. I was definitely having second thoughts. But, I'd already committed to trying it, and I figured I could always switch back if it didn't work out. I grabbed a smaller bag, just to be safe, and braced myself for the checkout.

He didn't seem to notice any difference, which was a good sign. He gobbled it right up, just like he always does.

It's been about a month now since I made the full switch to Ziwi Venison. Honestly, I'm pretty impressed. Here's what I've noticed:
- Energy Boost: He's definitely got more pep in his step. We've been going on longer walks, and he seems to have more stamina.

Final Thoughts
So, is Ziwi Peak Venison worth the hefty price tag? For me, at least for now, the answer is yes. Seeing my dog healthier and happier is worth it. I'm still keeping an eye on his weight, and I might try some of the other Ziwi flavors down the road. But for now, we're sticking with the venison. It's a winner!
