Okay, so the other day I was totally out of dog food for Buster, my golden retriever. Like, bone-dry. Zero. Nada. And I usually buy this fancy stuff called pawTree. He seems to do really well on it, and honestly, I'm a sucker for good marketing. Anyway, panic set in. Where the heck do I even get pawTree dog food?

My first thought was, "Amazon!" I mean, duh, right? I typed "pawTree dog food" into the search bar, and... nothing. Zilch. Just a bunch of other brands and some weird paw-shaped toys. Strike one.

Then I remembered seeing something about it being a smaller company, not sold in regular stores. So, I jumped over to Google. I searched "where can i buy pawtree dog food" – you know, kept it simple.

That’s when I found out that pawTree is sold through independent consultants, like a multi-level marketing thing almost. Okay, interesting. Now I just needed to find one of those consultants.

I clicked on the pawTree website from the search results. It looked pretty legit, lots of happy dogs and promises of super healthy food. On the site, there was a "Find a PetPro" option. I clicked that, and it asked for my zip code. I popped that in, and boom! A list of local consultants appeared.

I picked the first one on the list, figuring they were all probably the same. Her profile had a phone number and an email. I decided to just call. She answered right away, which was a nice surprise.

I explained my dog food emergency, and she was super helpful. Turns out, she had some of the Chicken & Sweet Potato Recipe (Buster's favorite!) in stock. Score! She said I could either order through her website (she sent me a link) or just pick it up from her house. I opted for pickup, because, desperate times, right?

Drove over to her place, grabbed the food, and paid her. It was a little pricier than I'd like, but Buster's worth it, and I was out of options. Plus, the consultant was really nice, and she even gave me a few samples of other pawTree products to try. Might be getting sucked into this whole thing…!

So, long story short, if you're looking for pawTree dog food, don't bother going to PetSmart or Amazon. Head to their website and find a local consultant. It's the only way to get it. Lesson learned: don't let yourself run out of Buster's precious food again!
