Nulo Wet Dog Food Reviews: What Are Dog Owners Saying?

Okay, so I've been meaning to switch up my dog's food for a while now. He's been on the same kibble since he was a pup, and honestly, he seems kinda bored with it. Plus, I've been reading more about the benefits of wet food, especially for older dogs like mine.

I did some digging around, checked out a bunch of different brands, and finally settled on Nulo. Seemed like a good balance of quality ingredients and a decent price. My main concern was finding something that wouldn't upset his stomach, since he can be a bit sensitive.

The Experiment Begins

First step: picking a flavor! Nulo has a ton of options, which is great, but also a little overwhelming. I ended up grabbing a variety pack of their "Medleys" line – figured that would give me a good sense of what he likes and doesn't like. They had stuff like "Turkey & Sweet Potato," "Beef, Peas & Carrots," you get the idea.

Next up: the actual feeding. I started by mixing a little bit of the Nulo wet food in with his regular kibble. Didn't want to shock his system by switching completely all at once. He sniffed it cautiously at first, like "What is this new thing?" But then he went to town! Definitely seemed to enjoy it more than his plain old dry food.

  • Day 1: 25% Nulo, 75% kibble. No problems.
  • Day 3: 50/50 mix. Still good!
  • Day 5: 75% Nulo, 25% kibble. All clear.
  • Day 7: 100% Nulo. Success!

My Observations

I gradually increased the amount of wet food over the course of a week, and he handled it like a champ. No tummy troubles, no weird poops, nothing. In fact, he seems to have more energy now, and his coat looks a little shinier. Could be my imagination, but I swear he's shedding less, too.

He seems really like the Nulo a lot.

So far, so good! I'm pretty happy with the switch to Nulo wet food. It's a little pricier than what I was feeding him before, but seeing him enjoy his meals and seem healthier overall makes it worth it. I'll probably keep experimenting with different flavors to see what his absolute favorites are.
