Need Shetland Dog Names? Check Out These Awesome Ideas!
Okay, here's my blog post about Shetland dog names, written in the style you requested:

So, I finally caved and got myself a Sheltie puppy! Oh my goodness, the fluff! But picking a name? That was a whole project in itself. I wanted something that fit, you know?
First, I brainstormed. I mean, I really went for it. I grabbed a notebook and scribbled down every single dog name I could think of. From the super common ones like "Buddy" and "Bella" (which, no offense, are kinda boring) to the more… out-there options. My list was all over the place.
Then, I started looking at the breed's origins. Shetland Sheepdogs, right? Scotland! That opened up a whole new can of worms – or, should I say, a whole new flock of sheep? I dug into Scottish names, place names, even words from the local dialect. Things like "Skye," "Loch," and "Nessie" (okay, maybe not Nessie) all went on the list.
My Crazy Research
- Read a bunch of articles online.
- I made my friend to give some suggestion.
- Watched some YouTube videos of Shelties just to see if any names popped into my head.
- Looked at baby name websites, because, hey, why not?
I narrowed down my list to about ten names, then I tried them out. Like, I literally stood in my backyard and yelled each name at the top of my lungs. It felt ridiculous, but I wanted to see how the names sounded when I called the dog.
Finally I made a decision. After that I had a name list that I really like it. And I chose "Hamish"! It just seemed to work. It's Scottish, it's got a good, strong sound, and it kinda suits his fluffy, slightly goofy personality. And it is the name that I think it is best.
Choosing a dog's name is tough. It’s for life, and I wanted to have a memorable name, but it's also fun. Go with your gut, and don't be afraid to get a little weird with it!
