Need Good Toys for Small Dogs? Check Out These Fun Ideas!
Okay, so I've got a tiny little Yorkie, and finding toys that are both fun AND safe for him has been a real journey! I wanted to share what I've learned, so here's how I went about finding the good toys for small dogs.

Starting My Search
First, I jumped online and just started browsing. I looked at a bunch of different pet stores and online retailers, just to get a feel for what was out there. I quickly realized there's a TON of stuff, and it's kinda overwhelming!
Narrowing It Down
I decided to focus on a few key things:
- Size: Obviously, it had to be small enough for my little guy to actually play with. No giant bones here!
- Material: I wanted something durable, but also not too hard that it would hurt his teeth.
- Safety: No small parts that could be chewed off and swallowed. That's a big no-no!
- variety:Provide different types of toys to prevent boredom.
Testing Things Out
I ordered a few different types of toys based on my research:
- Some small, soft plush toys.
- A couple of rubber chew toys (the kind with little nubs for dental health).
- A small rope toy for tug-of-war.
When they arrived, I let my dog go to town! I watched him carefully to see which ones he liked best, and which ones he ignored. I also checked the toys regularly to make sure they weren't falling apart.
The Results!
He absolutely LOVED the soft plush toys, especially the ones that squeak. He carries them around everywhere! The rubber chew toys were a hit too, and I feel good knowing they're helping to keep his teeth clean. The rope toy was okay, but he's not super into tug-of-war. I am happy now!
And after a few weeks of observation,I also threw away some plush toys which already falling apart.

So, that's my experience finding good toys for my small dog. It took a little trial and error, but it was definitely worth it to see him happy and playing safely!
