How to Use Deshedding Gloves for Dogs: Simple Tips
Okay, so my dog, Buddy, he's a golden retriever, and let me tell you, the shedding is unreal. It's like living in a constant fur-storm. I've tried everything – brushes, those weird rake things, even the vacuum cleaner attachment (Buddy hated that).

Then, I saw these deshedding gloves advertised. They looked kinda silly, honestly, like giant rubber mittens. But I was desperate, so I ordered a pair.
My first try
When they arrived, I was eager to test it.
- First thing, I put them on. They were a little big, but they had a Velcro strap to tighten them around the wrist.
- Next up, I call buddy, and I started petting him like I normally would.
At first, Buddy was suspicious. He kept looking at my hands like, "What are those things?" But once I started stroking his back, he leaned into it. You know, that classic doggy bliss when they're getting a good scratch.
Process
And oh boy, the fur started coming off. Not just a little bit, either. We're talking clumps of fur. I kept petting and petting, and the gloves just collected it all. The little rubber nubs on the gloves seemed to really grab the loose hair without pulling or hurting him.
Because the gloves that grab fur are different, I even got into those tricky spots, like behind his ears and under his belly, without any fuss.
How I felt
It was way easier than using a brush, and definitely less stressful for both of us. Plus, there's something strangely satisfying about peeling off a giant sheet of fur from the glove. It's like, "Look at all this I prevented from landing on my couch!"
After about 15 minutes, I had a pile of fur that could probably make a whole new dog. Buddy looked noticeably sleeker, and he seemed a lot happier, too. No more itchy, loose fur driving him crazy.

I peeled the collected fur off the gloves – it came off super easily, another plus.
So, yeah, these deshedding gloves? Total game-changer. They're not the most glamorous things, but they work. And anything that makes my life (and Buddy's life) a little less furry is a win in my book.
