Dog Training Charlotte NC Prices: A Guide for Every Budget

My Calls and What I Learned

I asked about the group classes first, since that seemed like the most affordable option. They said it was around $150 for a 6-week course, meeting once a week. Not too bad, I thought. Private lessons were more expensive, obviously, starting around $80 per session. The board-and-train program was the priciest, well over $1000, but they said it was really effective.
• Next up: Dog Training Elite. Their approach was a little different. They wanted to do an in-home consultation first, to meet my dog and assess his needs. I thought, “Okay, that’s a bit extra, but maybe it’s worth it.” The consultation itself was $50. After that, they would give me a personalized training plan and price quote. They did mention that their programs generally start around $500 and go up from there, depending on how much training your dog needs.
• Called a few more places, just to get more information. I called a couple of independent trainers I found online. Prices varied quite a bit. One trainer charged $60 per session for private lessons, another was closer to $100. It seemed like experience and training methods played a big role in the pricing.

Finally, I made my decision. I decided to start with the group classes at Camp Bow Wow. It seemed like a good balance of affordability and quality training. Plus, I liked the idea of my puppy getting some socialization with other dogs. We started the classes last week, and so far, so good! My puppy is still a handful, but I’m already seeing some improvement. It definitely feels like money well spent. I also realized that there’s a huge range of prices out there for dog training in Charlotte. It really depends on what you’re looking for, how much you’re willing to spend, and what kind of training your dog needs. My advice?
