Dog Boarding Houston Prices: Get the Inside Scoop on Local Rates Now!

Okay, so, I needed to find a place for my dog to stay while I was out of town, and I was totally lost on where to start looking. I live in Houston, and I’ll tell ya, there are a TON of options. So, I started looking into this “dog boarding” thing and figured I’d share what I learned about the prices around here.

Dog Boarding Houston Prices: Get the Inside Scoop on Local Rates Now!

First off, I started by just Googling “dog boarding Houston prices” — super original, I know. I got a bunch of websites for different kennels and pet hotels. It was kind of overwhelming, to be honest. So many places, and they all seemed to offer different stuff.

Next I checked all the result that I got, and I found some useful key words: dog daycare, pet hotel, boarding prices, boarding kennels, overnight pet sitting and so on. Then I started to search the key words that I found on Google.

What I Found Out

  • Daycare Prices: Some places offer just daytime care, which is like a doggy playdate thing. I saw prices for this ranging from around $13 to I don’t know, maybe $30 or more per day. It seemed like most had packages where you could buy multiple days at a discount. And, a place called Fritz even offers doggy daycare from Monday to Saturday, but you gotta check for holidays.
  • Overnight Boarding: This is what I really needed. This is where they keep your dog overnight. I found a range of prices for this. This seemed to depend a lot on the kind of place it was. I read that multi-pet families can get 50% off for pets in the same room, and military personnel get 10% off.
    • Basic Kennels: These seemed to be the cheapest, and I saw prices as low as, like, $40 a night. It seemed that most kennels can hold up to 30 days, but it’s not recommended to board your dog for more than 30 days.
    • Fancy Pet Hotels: Oh yeah, these places are like spas for dogs! They had prices that went way up, sometimes over $75 a night. A place called K9 Resorts offers luxury dog boarding. It seemed like a good choice.
  • Overnight Pet Sitting: Another interesting find I discovered was overnight pet sitting. It will cost between $40 and $75 a night. With this service, a pet sitter will stay at your home to take care of your dog. This option seemed ideal for dogs who might feel more comfortable in their own environment.

So, yeah, that’s what I’ve figured out so far about dog boarding prices in Houston. It’s a pretty wide range, and you gotta think about what your dog needs and what you’re willing to spend. I’m still deciding which place to go with, but at least now I have a better idea of what to expect. Hope this helps someone else out there who’s as clueless as I was!
