Diamond Naturals Salmon & Potato Dog Food: See Our In-Depth Review & Ratings.
Okay, so my dog, Buster, he's a picky eater. Like, really picky. I've tried so many different foods, it's ridiculous. I finally decided to try out Diamond Naturals Salmon and Potato formula, mostly because I heard good things about it, and, well, Buster loves fish-flavored anything.

So, first thing I did was look it up online. I wanted to see what other people were saying, you know, real dog owners. Not just the fancy marketing stuff on the company website.
My Research and Experience
- Checked out some forums. People talking about their dogs, sharing experiences. Some good, some bad. Just like with everything, I guess.
- I also read some reviews on pet supply websites, but I don't trust on it.
- I looked the ingredients. I'm not a vet or anything, but I try to make sure there's no weird fillers or anything that sounds nasty. This one seemed pretty good on that front.
Then, I finally bought a small bag. Didn't want to commit to a giant one in case Buster turned his nose up at it (again!).
The first test: I put a little bit in his bowl. He sniffed it... cautiously. Then, he took a bite. And then another! I was shocked, seriously. He actually ate it!
Over the next few weeks, I gradually mixed it in with his old food, and then finally switched him over completely. His poop looked good and solid(yes, I check, because the pet doctor told me should do so), and he seemed to have more energy. He's always been a pretty active dog, but he seemed even more playful.
His coat also started looking shinier. I don't know if it's the food for sure, but it definitely seemed like an improvement.
So, overall, I'm pretty happy with the Diamond Naturals Salmon and Potato. Buster's eating it, he seems healthy, and I feel good about the ingredients. It's not the cheapest food out there, but it's not the most expensive either. Seems like a good balance of quality and price.
I'm going to keep him on it for now and see how it goes long-term. But so far, so good! Definitely worth a try if you've got a picky eater like mine.
