Deodorizer Spray for Dogs: Best Picks & How to Use!
Okay, here's my blog post about making a deodorizer spray for dogs:

My dog, bless his furry little heart, sometimes smells... well, like a dog. A wet, been-rolling-in-who-knows-what kind of dog. I love him to bits, but I don't always love that lingering doggy odor, especially when it ends up on my furniture! Store-bought sprays can be full of chemicals, so I decided to try making my own.
My DIY Dog Deodorizer Experiment
First, I needed to grab the ingredients. Basically all the basic things I have at home.
- Water: I use this as base.
- White Vinegar: This is to kill any stinky bacteria.
- Essential Oils: For a good smell. I picked lavender and a bit of lemon, 'cause I like those.
I grabbed a spray bottle from under the sink . Then, I mixed about a cup of water with maybe a quarter cup of the vinegar. I didn't measure exactly, just eyeballed it. The vinegar smell is strong at first, but it goes away, I promise!
Next, the fun part – the essential oils! I added about 10 drops of lavender and 5 drops of lemon. You can play around with different oils, just make sure they're safe for dogs. Some oils are NOT okay for pets, so do a quick search online before you use anything.
I shook the bottle really, really well to get everything mixed up. Seriously, shake it like you mean it! Then, time for the test.
I sprayed my furry friend lightly, avoid getting on his face, and used my hand to rub it into his fur. And it worked!
He smelled much better! The vinegar smell faded quickly, leaving a light, fresh scent. I also sprayed a bit on his bed and even on the couch where he likes to nap. It helped get rid of that lingering dog smell.
This DIY spray is super easy and way cheaper than buying those fancy ones from the store. Plus, I know exactly what's in it, so I feel good about using it on my pup. It's a win-win!
