Cute Fox Toy Dog Options: Durable & Safe Choices for All Breeds!
Okay, so I saw this cute fox toy for dogs online, and I just had to try and make one myself. I mean, who doesn't love a fluffy fox, right?

Gathering Supplies
First things first, I needed to get my stuff together. I grabbed:
- Some orange and white fleece – because, you know, fox colors!
- Black felt for the eyes and nose. I could have used buttons, I guess, but I thought felt would be safer if my pup decided to, well, really love it.
- Stuffing. Lots and lots of stuffing. I used the fluffy stuff from an old pillow that was way past its prime.
- Scissors.
- Needle and thread, my sewing machine if have.
- And a marker to draw out the shapes.
Creating the Fox
Then came the actual making-of-the-fox part. I'm no expert sewer, mind you, but this wasn't too tricky.
I started by drawing out the basic fox shape on the orange fleece. I looked up a couple of images online for reference, it looked something like a long, rounded body with a pointy head.I cut out two of these – one for the front and one for the back.
Next, I cut out the white bits – a triangle-ish shape for the chest, and a smaller one for the tip of the tail. Then, onto the black felt! Two small circles for eyes and a slightly larger, rounded triangle for the * the pieces were ready!
Sewing & Stuffing
Now to sew, I pinned the white chest piece onto one of the orange body pieces, and the white tail tip onto the other. I whip-stitched them on, the stitches weren't pretty, but they held! Then, I did the same with the eyes and nose, positioning them on the "face" part of the fox.
I then put the two orange body pieces together, right sides facing each other, and started sewing around the edge. I started from the bottom, leaving a gap of about 3 inches to turn it inside out and for stuffing later.
Once I had sewn most of the way around, I flipped the whole thing inside out. This is where it started to actually look like a fox! A very flat fox, but still a fox.
Time for the stuffing! I started pushing handfuls of the fluffy stuff into the fox, making sure to get into the head and tail. I wanted it nice and plump, so I kept going until it felt good and squishy.

Finishing Touches
Once stuffed, I sewed up that gap I left, again with the not-so-pretty-but-effective whip stitch. And there it was! My very own handmade fox dog toy.
The Verdict
My dog went absolutely nuts for it. He chased it, chewed it, and even cuddled with it. Success! It's not the most professional-looking toy, and it probably won't last forever, but it was fun to make, and my dog loves it. That's all that matters, right?
