Choosing a Dog in Kennel Toy: Simple Tips for Success
Okay, so I saw this idea online about keeping your dog entertained in their kennel, and I thought, "Why not give it a shot?" My pup, Max, gets a little antsy when he's in there for too long.

First, I grabbed an old, sturdy cardboard box – you know, the kind you get from online deliveries. I made sure it was clean and didn't have any staples or tape that Max could chew on.
Setting Up the Toy
- Found a box: An old delivery box did the trick.
- Checked for safety: Removed any potential hazards.
Then, I took some of his favorite treats and a few of his smaller toys. I tossed a few treats into the box, just loose, so he could sniff them out easily.
Next, I wrapped some of the other treats and toys in pieces of old newspaper. Nothing fancy, just a quick wrap to make it a bit more challenging for him. I placed these wrapped goodies inside the box too.
- Added simple treats to the box.
- Made it fun by wrapping other in old newspaper.
I put the box in his kennel and let Max go at it. He was a little confused at first, sniffing around, but then he figured it out.
It was awesome! He spent a good chunk of time digging through the box, unwrapping the newspaper, and finding all the hidden treasures. It definitely kept him busy and seemed to make the kennel time a lot more enjoyable.
Seriously, it was such a simple thing, but it made a big difference. It is a easy way and good way to solve the dog alone problem!
