Buying a Bernedoodle: How Much Should You Pay 2024?
Okay, so I've been thinking about getting a Bernedoodle puppy for a while now, they're just so darn cute! But, I realized I had no clue how much they actually cost. So, I started my quest to figure it out.

My Research Journey Begins
First, I hit up Google, you know, the usual. I typed in stuff like "Bernedoodle puppy price" and "Bernedoodle cost". I found a bunch of websites, some breeder sites, some general info pages, and some articles.
I started seeing some ranges, which was helpful, it's better to have a rough idea than zero idea, but it's still hard to know which price should I expect.
- Some sites said prices could be as low as $1,500.
- Others were saying they could go up to $5,000 or even more!
Digging Deeper
I realized that just looking at the numbers wasn't enough. I needed to understand why the prices varied so much.
So, I started reading more carefully. I learned that a few things affect the price:
- The breeder's reputation: Apparently, more experienced breeders with a good track record charge more. Makes sense, I guess.
- The puppy's size: There are different sizes of Bernedoodles (like, mini, standard), and the smaller ones often cost more.
- The puppy's coat and color: Some colors and coat patterns are more "desirable" and therefore more expensive.
- The puppy's generationMulti-generational are often more expensive.
Calling Around
I picked a breeder and called, that price is a bit different than what I saw on the internet.
After all, now I at least have a general idea of what to expect. And I know what questions to ask when I start talking to breeders. Wish me luck!
