Buy Organix Grain Free Dog Food: Top Retailers and Online Stores

Okay, so I recently switched my dog over to Organix grain-free dog food, and I thought I’d share my experience here.

First off, I did a bunch of research. I read that grain-free is good for dogs with allergies, and well, my little buddy has been scratching a lot lately. Organix popped up a few times as a solid, organic option, so I decided to give it a shot.

Finding it was a bit of a journey. I checked a few different online stores. I saw it on one big website that is like the biggest online store in the world, but I always try to find local first.

Then I remembered hearing that the company making this food actually stopped making it. Apparently, Purina bought them out and shut it down. That’s a bummer, because from what I gathered, Organix was the first dog food to meet all the organic standards set by the USDA. They also had other brands like Natural Ultramix and Good Buddy.

• I started by checking the usual local spots, like the pet store down the street. No luck.
• Then I expanded my search to some bigger chains. Still nothing.
• I even tried ordering online from a couple of places that said they had it in stock, but both times my order got canceled. They were out!

Honestly, I was about to give up. Then, I stumbled upon a smaller, local pet supply store that actually had some bags left! The owner told me they were some of the last ones she could get her hands on.

I bought a few bags to see if my dog liked it. He did. I also noticed that his fur started to look a little healthier and he wasn’t itching nearly as much.

It’s a shame they’re not making it anymore. I guess I’ll have to start looking for a new brand soon.

Anyway, that’s my Organix grain-free dog food story. It was a bit of a wild goose chase, but I’m glad I found some while it lasted.

I was told that grain-free food isn’t necessarily healthier for all dogs, it is good for dogs who have allergies, unless it’s a rare case of a food allergy. It made me wonder, but I guess if a dog has issues with that DCM stuff, you should probably switch to regular dog food that has grains. My dog seems fine though.

Oh, one more thing! Organix is certified organic by the USDA. That means they use organic chicken without added hormones or antibiotics, and no fake preservatives. That’s pretty cool, right?
