Beyond Can Dog Food Ingredients: A Simple Breakdown

Okay, so the other day, I was staring into my pantry, wondering what to feed my picky husky, Max. He's been turning his nose up at his usual kibble lately. I remembered seeing those "Beyond" dog food cans at the store and thought, "Why not give it a shot?"

Beyond Can Dog Food Ingredients: A Simple Breakdown

The Shopping Trip

First things first, I headed to the pet store. I stood there, looking over all the different flavors of Beyond. They've got, like, chicken, beef, salmon... a whole bunch. I grabbed a few cans of the chicken and wild-caught salmon, figuring I'd try a couple of options.

The Taste Test - Day 1

Back home, I popped open the chicken can. It actually smelled pretty decent, not like some of that other wet food. I scooped some into Max's bowl and... he actually ate it! No sniffing and walking away. He gobbled it right up. Success!

The Taste Test - Day 2

Day two, I tried the salmon. This one smelled a bit stronger, obviously, because, well, it's salmon. Max was a little hesitant at first, sniffed it a bunch, but then he dug in. Not quite as enthusiastic as with the chicken, but he still finished it. Good boy.

The Aftermath

  • Poop Check: (Yeah, we gotta talk about it.) Everything seemed normal, no weirdness. Always a good sign.
  • Energy Levels: Max seemed his usual bouncy self, maybe even a bit more playful. I'll take it!
  • Coat Check: It's probably too soon to tell for sure, but his fur did look pretty shiny.

My Overall Thoughts (So Far)

So, after a couple of days of this Beyond can dog food experiment, I'm pretty happy. Max is eating, which is the main thing. He seems to like the chicken flavor best. I'm going to keep an eye on things, see how he does over the next week or so. Might even try some of the other flavors. If you've got a fussy eater, it might be worth checking out!

It's been a successful experiment. Max, my super picky eater, actually finish it!
