Best Auto Waterer for Dogs? (Easy Guide for Fresh Water)
Okay, so I've always had this problem with my dogs. They're big, fluffy guys, and they drink a TON of water. I was constantly refilling their bowls, and it felt like I was spending half my day just making sure they were hydrated. So, I decided to build an automatic waterer. I'm no engineer, but I figured, how hard could it be?

My DIY Adventure Begins
First, I gathered all my materials. I needed:
- A big plastic container (like, REALLY big)
- A toilet float valve (yeah, the thing from your toilet)
- Some plastic tubing
- A dog bowl (obviously)
- A few connectors and some sealant
I started by drilling a hole near the bottom of the big container. This is where the water would flow out. Then, I attached the toilet float valve inside the container, making sure it was positioned so it would shut off the water flow when the container was full. This part was a little tricky, I had to make sure it was sealed really well so it wouldn't leak.
Next, I connected the plastic tubing to the outlet of the container and ran it to the dog bowl. I used some connectors to make sure everything was tight and secure. I wanted the bowl to be a little lower than the container, so gravity would do its thing.
The moment of truth! I filled the big container with water. As it filled, the float valve rose, and sure enough, when it reached the top, the water shut off. Perfect!
The water flowed through the tubing and into the dog bowl. when the water lower then the * my dogs drank, the water level in the bowl dropped, and more water automatically flowed in from the container. It worked!
It's not the prettiest thing in the world, but it's super functional. I've saved myself so much time and hassle, and my dogs always have fresh water. I'm pretty proud of my little DIY project. It just goes to show, sometimes the simplest solutions are the best!
