Okay, so I’ve been trying out this dog food called Nulo, the wet food kind. My dog, he’s a picky eater, you know? So I thought, let’s give this a shot.

First off, I went online, did a bit of digging. Found out that Nulo’s got this FreeStyle line, which is supposed to be their cheapest. But even that is like $3.35 a pound for the biggest bag. So, yeah, not exactly cheap.

Then I headed to the local store here. The Nulo wet food there was a bit pricey, I thought to myself. I also read some reviews online where people said that Nulo is just okay, like mid-range in quality. That made me a little hesitant, to be honest.

But, I decided to grab a few cans anyway. When I got home, I popped one open. The smell, it wasn’t too bad, actually. My dog, he came sniffing around, seemed interested.

  • Fed it to him, and guess what? He ate it! All of it! I was surprised, I’ll tell you that.
  • Kept him on it for a week. No tummy troubles, his energy levels seemed good. He was his usual bouncy self.
  • I also remembered reading somewhere that Nulo meets some high standards, like almost human-grade. That’s kind of cool, makes you feel a bit better about what you’re feeding your furry friend.

I even talked to my vet about it, she was mentioning that Nulo’s not on the recommended list and doesn’t follow all those vet guidelines. She said there are other brands vets like more, like Hill’s Science Diet. But she was nice about it.

My Conclusion

So, after trying it out, here’s what I think: Nulo wet food, it’s not bad. My dog likes it, and it seems to agree with him. But, it’s on the expensive side, and my vet mentioned that Nulo isn’t formulated by the right people and doesn’t have enough research or something. So, I might try some other brands when I get to a bigger town with more options. But for now, it’s working. I’ll keep an eye on how my dog does and go from there.

Overall, Nulo’s okay in my book. Not perfect, but not terrible either. Just my two cents on this dog food thing.
