Because Its Better Dog Food Reviews: Honest Opinions & Top Picks!
Okay, so I've been meaning to switch up my dog's food for a while now. He's been getting kinda...blah...about his meals, and honestly, I was getting tired of the same old kibble routine. I kept seeing ads for "Because It's Better" dog food, and the name itself got me curious. So, I decided to give it a try and see if it lives up to the hype. I'm documenting everything for future reference, and thought I'd share it!
The Research Phase
First, I looked up some reviews online. I skipped the sponsored posts and went straight to forums and independent blog reviews to get the real scoop. Lots of folks were raving about the ingredients and how their picky eaters suddenly loved mealtime. But, there were also some concerns about the price, as it's definitely pricier than the typical grocery store brands.
Getting My Hands on It
It is not stocked at the local supermarket, so I went to the website. I found a local specialty pet store that carried it. I decided to grab a small bag of the chicken recipe first, just to test it out.
The First Taste Test
When I got home, I opened the bag, and I have to say, it didn't smell like typical dog food. It actually smelled...kinda good? My dog, usually pretty chill, perked up immediately, sniffing the air. I put a little in his bowl, and he went to town! He devoured it way faster than usual, which was a good sign.
The Observation Period
- Day 1-3: My dog's really enjoying the food. I am mixing it with his old kibble to transition slowly, and I see no digestion issues.
- Day 4-7: Now I am fully switched to "Because It's Better". I noticed his coat is looking shinier. He seems more energetic during our walks, too. He is excited for meals.
- Day 7-14: I can say that I am happy with the result. I am officially making the switch. His poops are, uh, healthier (less smelly, too!), which is always a plus.
My Thoughts So Far
It's still early days, but so far, I'm pretty impressed. My dog clearly loves the taste, and I've noticed some positive changes in his energy levels and coat. I'm still working on introducing this one, I wanted to start with the basics.
The price is a bit of a bummer, but if it continues to improve my dog's health and well-being, I think I'll be able to get over it. I'll keep observing him and maybe update this in a few weeks with a longer-term review!
