Okay, so today I wanted to figure out the right dose of amoxicillin for my dog, Max. He's been a little under the weather, and the vet suggested this might help, but I needed to get the dosage right, especially since it's calculated by weight.

Figuring Out the Dosage

First things first, I had to weigh Max. Easier said than done! He's a wriggly golden retriever, so getting him to stay still on the scale was a bit of a challenge. I ended up using the "hold him and step on the scale" method, then subtracting my own weight. Teamwork makes the dream work, right?
