Stella Essentials Dog Food vs. Other Brands: How Does It Compare?

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with different dog foods for my pup lately, and I wanted to share my experiences with Stella Essentials. I heard some good things about it, and a vet mentioned it was pretty decent, so I figured, why not give it a shot?

Stella Essentials Dog Food vs. Other Brands: How Does It Compare?

First off, I did a little digging online. I saw a bunch of comparison articles about Stella and Chewy’s versus other brands like Farmina, The Honest Kitchen, and Open Farm. I read through them and gathered that each brand has its pros and cons. People were talking about ingredients, protein content, and the overall value for the price. It was a bit overwhelming, but it helped me get a general idea of what I was getting into.

Then, I started looking at the different options from Stella and Chewy’s. They have freeze-dried raw meals, kibble, and even wet food. I liked that they focus on natural ingredients. I also noticed some folks online debating between Stella and Chewy’s and other raw food brands like Primal and Nature’s Variety. It seemed like everyone had their own preferences, but Stella and Chewy’s kept popping up as a solid choice.

I decided to try out their freeze-dried raw patties first. The first thing I did was checking the ingredients and I was pleasantly surprised. No weird fillers or anything like that. I started by mixing a little bit of the patties with my dog’s regular food. He’s kind of a picky eater, so I didn’t want to switch things up too suddenly. The first time, he just sniffed at it, then scarfed it down. He seemed to really like it!

Over the next few days, I gradually increased the amount of Stella Essentials and decreased his old food. I watched him closely to see if he had any digestive issues, but everything seemed fine. His poops were normal, and he had plenty of energy. In fact, he seemed even more energetic than usual!

    What I Tried:

  • Freeze-Dried Raw Patties: These were a big hit. Easy to break apart and mix with his food.
  • Kibble: I also tried a bag of their kibble. It’s got good ingredients, but my dog seemed to prefer the raw patties.
  • Wet Food: I picked up a few cans of their wet food as well. It was a bit expensive to use as a daily food, but worked great as a special treat.

After a few weeks, I felt pretty good about the switch. My dog was happy, healthy, and seemed to really enjoy his new food. His coat looked shinier, and he just seemed more vibrant overall.

Now, I know this is just my experience, and every dog is different. But if you’re thinking about trying Stella Essentials, I’d say go for it. Do your research, start slow, and see how your dog reacts. It might just be the perfect food for your furry friend!

I will try another brands next week.
