Where to Buy Berkley and Jensen Dog Food: Find the Best Deals!
Okay, so I've been meaning to switch up my dog's food for a while now. He's been getting a little, shall we say, fluffy around the edges, and his coat hasn't been looking its best. I kept seeing "Berkley & Jensen" pop up when I was searching, so I figured, why not give it a shot? It's the store brand, and usually, those are pretty decent quality for the price.

The Shopping Trip
First thing's first, I needed to actually find the stuff. Now I went to my store and Headed straight to the pet aisle, obviously. After scanning it found and looked for the biggest bags I found it! They had a couple of different varieties – chicken and rice, lamb and rice, even a grain-free option.
Reading the Ingredients (Ugh)
This is always the part I dread. I grabbed the chicken and rice bag. I'm no expert, it does seems have lots of things inside it.
- Chicken
- Rice
- Vitamins...
- Minerals...
The Taste Test (aka My Dog Ate It!)
Got home, ripped open the bag – the smell wasn't overpowering, which is good. I poured some into my dog's bowl, and he went at it like he hadn't eaten in days! So, initial reaction? Big win.
The Waiting Game
Now, the real test is seeing how he does on it over the next few weeks. I'm keeping an eye on a few things:
- His poop. Sounds gross, but it's a good indicator of how well he's digesting the food.
- His energy levels. Hopefully, he'll be a bit more sprightly.
- His coat. Fingers crossed for a shinier, healthier look.
The Verdict (So Far)
It's only been a few days, but I did change it. And, he hasn't had any, uh, explosive issues, so that's promising. I'll update this in a few weeks after I've had more time to really evaluate. But for now, I'm cautiously optimistic about this Berkley & Jensen dog food experiment!
