Okay, so I've been meaning to find some new toys for my pup, Max. He's a golden retriever with a serious chewing habit, so I needed something durable, but also, you know, cute. So I started my little project of the day: Operation Cute Dog Toys.
The Hunt Begins
First, I opened my laptop. Gotta do some research, right? My go-to is to check a few online shops. I didn't even bother searching first, just went straight to the website.
I spent a good hour just browsing, to see different shapes and designs. I found that there are truly too many toys to choose from. After I picked a few, I also read a few reviews about the material.
Narrowing It Down
- First contender: A plushie shaped like a little fox. Super adorable, but I had my doubts about its lifespan.
- Second option: A rope toy with a cute little knot-animal in the middle. Seemed sturdy, but maybe a bit boring?
- Third choice: A squeaky rubber bone with little paw prints all over it. Ticked the cute and durable boxes!
I added all options into the cart, but didn't check out yet.
The Verdict
After hemming and hawing for, like, another half hour (I'm indecisive, okay?), I finally decided. I went with the squeaky rubber bone! It just seemed like the best of both worlds. I figured Max would love the squeaker, and I appreciated that it looked like it could withstand some serious chomping.
