Dog wishbone toy: Find the perfect and safe one for your furry friend!
Okay, so I've been meaning to make a super durable dog toy for my pup, Max, who can chew through anything in, like, five minutes. I finally got around to doing it, and I decided to go with a wishbone shape because, why not? It looked kinda cool.
Getting Started
First, I grabbed some old fire hose from a buddy who's a firefighter. This stuff is tough as nails, perfect for a power chewer like Max.
- Fire hose: Check. (Seriously, this stuff is amazing).
- Scissors: Found some heavy-duty ones in the garage.
- Marker: Just a regular Sharpie.
- Sewing Supplies.borrow form my wife.
Making the Wishbone
I laid out the fire hose flat on the table. It was pretty stiff, so I had to wrestle with it a bit. Then I freehanded a wishbone shape onto it with the marker. It wasn't perfect, but hey, it's a dog toy, not a piece of art.
Next,I use the scissors cut it,I had to use some serious muscle!
Putting It All Together
I cut two identical shapes and put it together,then I Sewing the edges.
I flipped the whole thing inside out, so the seams were on the inside, making it cleaner,Then, stuffing it with the scraps and sewed up the final opening.
The Finished Product
It's not the prettiest thing, but it's definitely sturdy. Max has been going to town on it, and it's holding up great! He seems to love it, which is all that matters.
It took a bit of elbow grease,I think my dog will have fun for a while!
