I also tried adding some "kennel names" at the end, acting like it was a breeder's prefix or suffix. For example, I used "Of Shadowmere" or "Bred by Avalon." It added that final little bit of, I don't know, authenticity to the whole thing.
Honestly, the whole process was just playing around and seeing what sounded good. I ended up with a whole page of names, some silly, some surprisingly good. And now, every time I see a dog, I try to come up with a show name for it.
