How Much Nemex 2 for Puppies? Vet Guide!
Okay, folks, let's talk about my recent experience figuring out the right dose of Nemex 2 for my new puppy. It was a bit of a journey, so I thought I'd share what I learned and how I did things.

So, I got this adorable little furball, a Golden Retriever mix, and of course, the first thing on my mind (after cuddles, obviously) was deworming. The breeder mentioned Nemex 2, so I picked some up.
Figuring out the Dosage
First, I grabbed the bottle and tried to make sense of the instructions. Honestly, it wasn't super clear, at least not to me. It talked about milliliters and pounds, and my puppy was this tiny, squirming thing. I definitely didn't want to give him too much or too little.
Then, I went on a deep dive online. I read forum posts, and I felt totally overwhelmed and started my pratice.
After some searching the internet, I found that the simple way to caculate the dose - 1 teaspoon (5ml) per 10 pounds.
My Puppy's Weight
Next step: weighing the little guy. This was an adventure in itself! I tried putting him on my kitchen scale, but he wouldn't stay still. It was like trying to weigh a furry, four-legged earthquake. Finally, I figured out a trick: I weighed myself, then weighed myself holding him, and subtracted the difference. Clever, right?
Turns out, my pup weighed in at a whopping 5 pounds.
Calculating the Dose and Giving Nemex
Based on the dose I found, 1 teaspoon(5ml) per 10 pounds of body weight.
My pup is 5 pounds, So I need give him a half of teaspoon(2.5ml).

I used a little syringe (the kind you get with kids' medicine) to measure out the correct dose. Then, I mixed it with a tiny bit of his wet food, hoping he wouldn't notice. He gobbled it right up, no problem!
The Follow-Up
I kept an eye on him for the rest of the day, just to make sure he didn't have any weird reactions. Everything seemed fine. I marked my calendar to repeat the dose in a couple of weeks, as recommended.
Overall, it wasn't as scary as I initially thought. Just took a bit of research, some creative weighing techniques, and a little bit of patience. The most important thing is to make sure you're giving your puppy the right amount to keep them healthy and happy!
